Area(s) of Interest

Fish parasitology: Main fields of interest within this group are the branchiurans and ciliophorans. Pioneered studies on fish parasitology in southern Africa. Established a research group in this field which has produced 28 graduates and more than 100 publications on aspects within this field. Presently investigating intertidal fish parasites as well as parasites of fish in the Okavango delta (Botswana).
